So Roger Craig Smith says happy birthday to sonic, or better yet himself in his sonic voice and I really wanted to animate it ;^; oh god i hope no one else beat me to it xD and yes this is actually Roger craig smith saying happy birthday to contribute with Junichi's wishes vuv such sweeties
It's Balen Productions doing an imitation of Roger, he even said so later on his tumblr. Kinda figure it wasn't Roger, though. Balen usually bash on RCS so why would he get RCS to say happy birthday to Sonic? :\
balen productions? I don't seem to be familiar with it and it's relationship with Roger, but the audio file was found on RCS's twitter, and it's really not that surpising because RCS is as much as a sonic fan than everyone else, but do you have a source for it? o:
You posted the link to Balen Productions tumblr account and he said that it was fake later. If RCS posted the audio on his twitter then I probably haven't seen it on RCS twitter account. But if it is real then I kinda feel bad for him since Balen don't even like him.
Well i wouldnt say i really hate it. its just that im so used to jason griffith that Rogers voice just sounds so off.. as a actor he portrays sonics character perfectly but its simply his voice that i dislike other than that he's doing a great job as a voice actor. I agree 100% with you, sega really should have considerd other voice actors that somewhat sound like the previous actors.
The "uaeuea" thing killed me, especially with Sonic's facial expression.
The best thing about Sega is that each actor that they found for video game Sonic has had some past experience with voicing Sonic before, with the exception of Ryan Drummond, but since he was the first time we actually got a voice for video game Sonic, he was able to do what he want, and created the character. Jason did Sonic in Sonic X, so all he needed to do was just tone down the "anime goofiness", and he fit right in. Roger did Sonic in the Spindash ride, so he had some practice, too.
All I can say is that I'm thankful to Sega for making Sonic.
